Founded in 1992 by U. C. Berkeley (Boalt Law School) graduate Jeffrey Wilens, the Lakeshore Law Center has successfully prosecuted numerous class and individual actions against payday loan companies, creditors, automobile dealerships, lending institutions, unfair business practices, credit reporting and debt collection violations.

Jeffrey N. Wilens, Esq.

Mr. Wilens founded the Lakeshore Law Center in 1992 after working as a certified criminal law and appellate law specialist.  Shifting over to civil litigation, Mr. Wilens successfully prosecuted numerous individual and class actions, obtaining millions of dollars of compensation for his clients and class members. Mr. Wilens was admitted to the California Bar in 1985 after graduating from UC Berkeley Law School, one of the top ten national law schools.  He is also admitted before the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and numerous federal district courts. Before law school, he graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara, B.A., 1982.

The force (of law) is strong in his family, with one daughter a practicing attorney and a nephew in law school.

Macy L. Wilens, Esq.

Ms. Wilens joined Lakeshore Law Center in March 2021, joining her father.  Previously, she was an associate attorney at insurance defense firm, La Follette Johnson DeHaas Fesler & Ames, where she became experienced in all aspects of civil litigation. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California Riverside in History, Law and Society. Ms. Wilens received her Juris Doctorate degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school, she was a teaching assistant in Advanced Legal Writing and was a member of the Dean’s List during her third year.

Ms. Wilens was born and raised in Orange County, California. She is an avid reader, but when her nose is not stuck in a book, she is traveling around the world trying to reach her goal of visiting every continent.
